Before the session - FAQs
-
You’re welcome to bring along anything that makes your pet happy and comfortable. However, here are a few things I recommend!
Plenty of their favourite treats!
A favourite toy to help grab their attention or furthermore, to capture great action shots!
Any accessories you would like them to wear, ranging from bow ties and bandanas.
If you have booked the ‘Main Character’ session, bring along any props or outfits you would like! Whether this is a birthday hat, cake or any other seasonal props/accessories.
-
Most definitely! In fact, i’d encourage it.
Whether you'd like a couple of portraits together or to be part of the entire session, you're more than welcome to step in front of the camera. These photographs will be treasured for years to come!
-
Most dogs don't need to sit perfectly still. Sessions are relaxed and designed to work at your pet's pace, with plenty of breaks, treats and encouragement. Capturing personality is far more important than perfect obedience!
-
Absolutely! Your dogs safety and comfort will always come first.
If your dog needs to stay on the lead throughout the session - don’t panic! Where possible, leads will be carefully removed during the editing process, leaving you with beautifully curated images like any other client.
-
Of course! Pets are apart of the family and it would be great to capture them together!
You are welcome to bring more than one pet, where we can get some of them together as well as individuals of each.
Please note: To ensure everyone has plenty of space and the session remains relaxed, I can accommodate up to three dogs in the studio at one time. If you're hoping to bring more than three pets, please get in touch before booking and I'd be happy to discuss the best options with you.
During the session - FAQs
What happens during the photoshoot?
1
Your session is designed to be relaxed, fun and tailored to your pet.
We'll take things at your pet's pace, allowing plenty of time for treats, cuddles and breaks whenever they're needed. I'll guide you throughout the session, using toys, treats and sounds to capture your pet's personality and those all-important expressions.
If you've booked The Main Character Session, we'll also have time to explore different backdrops, props and creative setups. If you'd like to step in for a few photographs together, you're more than welcome to!
How long does the session last?
2
The length of your session depends on the package you've booked.
The Best Friend Session lasts approximately 1 hour, providing plenty of time to create a beautiful collection of timeless portraits.
The Main Character Session lasts up to 2 hours, allowing for multiple backdrops, creative setups, outfit changes (if you'd like them!) and plenty of breaks to keep your pet happy and comfortable.
Every session is relaxed, and your pet's wellbeing will always come first.
Do you photograph puppies/senior dogs?
3
All Pets are welcome. Every stage of your pet's life deserves to be remembered.
Sessions are always tailored to your pet's age, energy levels and individual needs, with plenty of patience and breaks whenever they're needed!
Can I photograph nervous/reactive dogs?
4
Absolutely. Every dog is different, and their comfort will always come first.
If your dog is nervous, shy or reactive, simply let me know before your session so I can adapt my approach to suit them. We'll work at their pace, allowing time for them to settle into the studio without any pressure.
My goal is to create a calm, positive experience where your dog feels as comfortable as possible, helping us capture beautiful photographs that reflect their unique personality.
