SHOW OFF THEIR CHARACTER.
During our session, my aim as a photographer is to highlight the unique personality and beauty within your pets. The connection between you and your pet is important to showcase and will be reflected through beautifully structured set-ups and critical lighting.
Please bring along props associated with your pet, which creates personal end results. It can be things like their favourite toy or blanket.
It is crucial that you bring treats along with you for your session, which will help with the process of getting them focused.
Above else, I want this to be the best experience for you and for your furry friends!
MAKING THE MOST OF THE SESSIONS WITH POPS OF COLOUR.
Things to know when you book your pet session.
-
Before booking your photo session, it is important to think about how your pet would behave in a studio setting. Always be aware if your animals are anxious around flashes and strangers. Do not book if your pet is prone to seizures.
-
Once you are set on booking a photo session, it’s always important to know what to prepare for!
Lots of treats will be at hand during the session! So make sure you bring plenty for the session. It will help me capture their attention, as well as getting the shots I need. The allotted time will also allow for mini breaks for your pet, if they need to decompress and/or require toilet breaks.
Make sure to plan any outfits and props beforehand to bring along with you. The more props/outfits, the better! We can discuss the items you have brought with you upon arrival and if there are any ideas you have for the photo session. These steps are vital for me to get an understanding for the direction of the session, and provide you with the desired end results!
-
On the day of your session, it is important that you arrived 15 minutes early. This will allow you and your pet to sit, have a drink and get comfortable in the studio. Furthermore, we can talk through any ideas you may have, prior to starting.
Any furry friend…
It’s not just dogs that are welcome in the studio! If there is any specific animal you would like to bring along with you, get in touch and we can arrange an environment that’s suitable. (I have photographed many of snakes, guinea pigs and rabbits in my time!)

You’re welcome to bring along anything that makes your pet happy and comfortable. However, here are a few things I recommend!
Plenty of their favourite treats!
A favourite toy to help grab their attention or furthermore, to capture great action shots!
Any accessories you would like them to wear, ranging from bow ties and bandanas.
If you have booked the ‘Main Character’ session, bring along any props or outfits you would like! Whether this is a birthday hat, cake or any other seasonal props/accessories.
-
Most definitely! In fact, i’d encourage it.
Whether you'd like a couple of portraits together or to be part of the entire session, you're more than welcome to step in front of the camera. These photographs will be treasured for years to come!
-
Absolutely! Most dogs don't need to sit perfectly still. Sessions are relaxed and designed to work at your pet's pace, with plenty of breaks, treats and encouragement. Capturing personality is far more important than perfect obedience!
-
Absolutely! Your dogs safety and comfort will always come first.
If your dog needs to stay on the lead throughout the session - don’t panic! Where possible, leads will be carefully removed during the editing process, leaving you with beautifully curated images like any other client.
-
Of course! Pets are apart of the family and it would be great to capture them together!
You are welcome to bring more than one pet, where we can get some of them together as well as individuals of each.
Please note: To ensure everyone has plenty of space and the session remains relaxed, I can accommodate up to three dogs in the studio at one time. If you're hoping to bring more than three pets, please get in touch before booking and I'd be happy to discuss the best options with you.
